Walking Tour Schedule

The past is a place you can go to experience a different world. Come with us on an adventure through time and see the past through new eyes.

Tours will begin on May 27 for the 2017 season. Watch this space for tour updates and information.

The tours cap at 25 people so please arrive early to secure a spot. If you would like to reserve a spot on a tour, give us a call at  406-220-2678 or send us an email at info@extremehistoryproject.org. Tours are $10, $7 for seniors and students, kids 12 and under are free!

Seeking Fortunes: Bozeman’s Historic China Alley
When: Mondays at 10am (No tour on August 21), August 26 at 1pm and September 16 at 1pm 

Where to Meet: Soroptimist Park, corner of Rouse and Main Streets

Gracious Gables: Bozeman’s Historic Manors
When: Sundays at 10 am starting June 4th, 2017
Where to Meet: In front of The Story Mansion, 811 S. Willson Street

Family Matters: Bozeman’s Historic African American Community
When: Fridays at 10am starting June 2, 2017
Where to Meet: Beall Recreation Center, 415 N. Bozeman Street

The Contrasting Styles of Fred Willson, Bozeman Architect 1910-1956
When: July 6 at 6pm, July 20 at 6pm, August 3 at 6pm, and September 7 at 6pm
Where to Meet: In front of The Story Mansion located at 811 S. Willson

Murders, Madams, and Mediums: Bozeman’s Dark Side
When: Saturdays at 7pm starting May 27, 2017
Where to Meet: In Front of the Western Cafe, 443 E. Main Street

Ghosts of Bozeman’s Past: Bozeman’s Sunset Hills Cemetery
When: Sundays at 4pm. No tour on August 6.
Where to Meet: Entrance to Sunset Hills Cemetery, located off of East Main Street directly south of Lindley Park

Tents to Town: Bozeman’s Historic Main Street
When: Tuesdays at 10am and Saturdays at 10am starting June 3, 2017
Where to Meet: Soroptimist Park, corner of Rouse and Main Streets

The Working Class Hero: Bozeman’s Historic Tracy District
When: By request only. If interested in this tour please send us an email at info@extremehistoryproject.org and we would be happy to schedule a tour for you or your group.
Where to Meet: Beall Recreation Center, 415 N. Bozeman Street

Upstream: Uncovering Bozeman Creek
When: Wednesdays at 6pm through the end of August
Where to Meet: Bogert Park off South Church Street near the pavilion

    • Hi Marsha, Its always a good idea to sign up ahead for any of the tours, though you can show up at the tour and pay. Some tours do have limits and sell out quickly, so if you do sign up online, show up 15 minutes before the tour starts. Thanks!

  1. how many people are allowed in a tour? If we have a large group, would you consider a private tour? I think we would be most interested in Murders, Madams, and Mediums
